Junior Clerk Held For Accepting Bribe

A junior clerk from the office of Additional Collector here in Nashik district of Maharashtra was held Monday for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 from a man for exchanging official favour, an ACB official said.

The accused, Vishal Lohar, had demanded bribe of Rs 1,15,000 for effecting some changes in the 7/12 revenue extract but settled for Rs 25,000, he said. A trap was laid and Lohar was nabbed while accepting the amount.
