The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended a Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police while accepting bribe of Rs. 45,000/- from the Complainant.
A case was registered on a complaint against the said Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police, Police Station, Jamia Nagar, Delhi on the allegations of demanding bribe from Complainant. It was alleged that said accused, who was IO of a case, demanded bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from complainant for diluting the case against him & others and for not arresting his maid & guard.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting bribe/undue advantage of Rs. 45,000/- from the Complainant.
Searches are being conducted at the premises of the accused person.
Investigation is continuing.
