3 years Rigorous Imprisonment to Shri K Narasimha, IAS, Secretary to Govt. of Mizoram in CBI Case

THREE YEARS RIGOROUS IMPRISONMENT WITH FINE OF RS.ONE LAKH TO THEN SECRETARY(AN IAS OFFICER OF 1991 BATCH) FOR POSSESSING DISPROPORTIONATE ASSETS

 

The Designated Court for CBI Cases, Hyderabad has sentenced Shri Kavadi Narasimha, IAS(AGMUT-1991), then Secretary to Govt. of Mizoram to undergo three years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of lRs.1,00,000/- for possessing disproportionate assets.

 

            CBI had registered a case on 21.12.2006 against Shri Kavadi Narasimha, IAS (AGMUT-1991), then Secretary to Govt of Mizoram on the allegations that the accused, while working as a public servant during the period 15.09.1991 to 19.10.2006 had amassed assets to the tune of Rs.32,31,000/- which were disproportionate to his known sources of income.

 After investigation, a charge sheet was filed on 30.06.2010 against the accused.

 

            The Trial Court found the said accused guilty and convicted him.
