With reference to the OM no-Z.16025/12/2023/CGHS-III Dt-31/05/2023, on the subject mentioned above, I have to convey that with the co-ordination of Director AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, a special dedicated registration desk has been created to facilitate eligible CGHS beneficiaries to avail health care facilities of premium institution.

The CMO I/Cs of all the wellness centres under CGHS, Bhubaneswar including Berhampur and Cuttack has been intimated with this development ,along with request that information regarding this may be circulated among all staffs and also be placed in the notice board.

The local and national print media also published this information for wide publicity (Copy attached).

It is to be noted that all the Doctors in the Central Government Hospitals/CGHS Wellness Centers / Polyclinics have been instructed time and again to prescribe Generic Medicines ONLY. Despite this, it has been observed that Doctors (including Residents) in some instances continue to prescribe branded medicines. This has been viewed strictly by the competent authority.

1. This may be noted by all head of institutions, and they may ensure strict compliance by the doctors working under them.

2. If anyone continues to be non-compliant, he/she shall be liable for further action.

3. Further, it may be ensured that visits of Medical Representative to hospitals premises are completely curtailed. Any information about a new launch may be communicated by way of email only.

Subject: Regarding extension of validity of empanelment of All Health Care Organizations empanelled under CGHS.

 

Attention is drawn to the Office Memorandum issued earlier extending validity of empanelment of all health care organizations under CGHS till 31st March, 2014.

 

2. It has now been decided to extend the validity of empanelment of all Health Care Organizations under CGHS for further period of three months or till finalization of next empanelment of health care organizations under CGHS whichever is earlier on same terms and conditions as defined in OM on which they were empanelled earlier.
